Why?

Why do people tend to pretend? Not in an imaginary sense, but in a "my life is great and people love me" sense. The who notion of "I can do no harm". Lucy just called this morning. To tell me about her mom. You see her mom just called her. Her mother called to tell her that the home Lucy lives in will be put up for sale and Lucy will in essence, be homeless... unless she moves into a house her mother is buying right next door to her. CHEAP SHOT. Lucy hates this idea. The more distance between them the better. They get along more. Her mother married a new guy who's into buying real estate. He is also into looking at Lucy in a non "stepfather" type of way....ew. We have to brainstorm.... hopefully Manice, Lucy's sister will take the bait... her mom also offered her the "new house", but will purchase another around the block to keep the "family" together. One word..."Therapy".

Although confertation, a hissy fit, or some other way may help.

Random Thoughts

I envy those with children, yet I love my freedom.

My husband and I did absolutely nothing all day. We had breakfast after waking up at 9:00 am. He then went back to bed and fell asleep after feeding all the animals. I went on to redo my nail polish on my toenails and buffed out my fingernails. I then came on line to blog about last nights Happy Hour. My husband worked on his IPOD, I got on the other computer and checked my e-mail. Karissa wants to have a "ladies" lunch next week. Time to check our schedules. I think this will be fun. Time out from our current lives... Although mine life is "no worries" at the moment. I took a shower and then proceeded to straighten my hair out. We went to Target, World Market and ate Lunch /Dinner at Souplantaion. We sat near a couple with newborn twins. Sigh. A little boy and girl. I want some and then again that couple came in after us and left before us. They swallowed their food down and then they were off. Too fast. I like my easy going life. Plus I love my career. I want the top damn it. I refuse to put my child in the care of someone else. SO ... All or nothing. Tomorrow planting mre rose bushes. Right now, clean this office, listen to my husband play piano and sing , and print out some pictures so I can scrapbook. I love our life right now. It's wonderful ... I love my husband.

Happy Hour

The "gang" is getting together for happy hour. We go to these little local places, places none of our customers would see us. We walk a very professional line. Image is everything.

Later....

Happy hour was fun. It went from 5:00 - 11:00. I know, that's more then an hour. Lucy had "fun". Lucy If your reading this... I worry about you. You said things that were somewhat defaming. Remember, you hated everyone's predictions and stereotypes of you in High School. Please take care of image as a grown woman.
There is another happy hour next Friday. One of the couples will not be there, but the missing couple from this one will be. During this festive time we learned of new details in the "letter" scandal. One of the "matriarchs" of the company asked Karissa if we "young" ones hung out. Karissa stated that we do have happy hour together and that the whole department is invited. She then asked what we discussed, karissa stated, life and home. She was surprised and asked if we talk about work... Karissa responded, "we leave that here". You see the matriarch wrote the letter and wants to know how many of us know... We all do. .. and she has no clue... at least not yet.

Moving & Blood

We are moving my brother tomorrow. We are going to rent a U-Haul. For a 14 foot truck it's going to cost $112 prior to tax. He is giving us his new fridge.

Lucy and I went to give blood today. She is at 7 Units given to date and I'm at 6 Units to date. While munching on cheese and crackers and Root Beer Floats we were chatting and watching TV. I was turning though a magazine and found another persons donor card. They had 57 units to date. WOW... now that's a goal. Lucy and I want to be on the 10 gallon wall.
