Thoughts

I'm cleaning the office and listening to KFI AM 640 on my computer via streaming. I heard a man crying on the radio. His mom died. Katrina. She (called) him everyday for four day, starting on Monday, and asked if help was on the way. She drowned on Friday.

I'm finally putting together an earthquake backpack. This backpack will stay with me at work and I'm going to put together an earthquake shed. Supplies for my husband, myself and our pets.

Water and food to last at least three days (your car trunk is a handy place for these bulky items).
Water purification tablets
Heavy-duty gloves
A first-aid kit
A minimum of $100 in cash (automated teller machines and banks may be shut down following a quake)
Family photos and descriptions (to aid emergency personnel in finding missing people)
A flashlight and portable (or solar-powered) radio
Extra batteries
Goggles and dust mask
A personal commode with sanitary bags

A major fault line passes in the distance of our home. It's visible from my mother's house on the mountains around our valley.

On a more up note, we had a Labor Day/Anniversary BBQ today at my mom's. Lucy and the girls came over. The BBQ was great and the cake was YUMMY!!

Why are you making that face?

Yes, these are the words my husband just asked. I had my hands on the keyboard, and well, I was not typing. I was just sitting here "making that face". (deep breath... here I go) Lucy was in the hospital this week, I took her home to my mom's. My mom's house is finally repaired like new, I have to move out of my house soon... an offer for the land is in the works, My work is getting very political and sometimes I think if I just went into politics, life would be easier.

On the upside... My husband purchased two VIP tickets to see Albita at the Conga Room. I'm so excited. We went out tonight to buy outfits for the event. I bought knee high kitten heel boots and a cute top. I have so much in my head to write, but I just become fatigued thinking about it all. Friday... 5:00 pm.... I can't wait!!

This weekend

This was a filled weekend...

We went to a wedding on Sat and helped Lucy move some more boxes into her new house...next to her mom.

The wedding... read my husbands blog... pictures are coming soon.

Lucy.... her mom is crazy... Lucy will be out of there in 3 months. She'll either be living with her dad or with us.

I have to write some memos for work.... so until I have time to breath again.... Have a great week... and I'll update these two sagas.

Some random pictures to end the Night

From top to bottom... Lucy's Birthday gifts and cake at my parents... her beauty gift...and of course our little Timba.

My cat is asleep, the fan is cooling the air and my husband is cleaning out his dresser while listening to his IPod... life is great.

Arrrrggggggg!!!!!! With an H?

Who is really running our company? This morning when we had our client info junket the main bosses were late. I had to give the orders to have the event start.... This is the most un organized venture ever. Now that our company is in full swing on all the accounts the stuff that comes out of HIS mouth, is really hitting the fan. He lied to a team partner and I and then lied again to change his story. We are not stupid... damn it. Another division of the company took some funds from us and I had to go in and either get it back or negotiate a fair trade of services and goods. That took all day... (play circus song in your head) . I had four meetings on top of that. Sigh. Is this why we don't have kids? To sum it up.... people are talk and others actually put their ass out on the line with you.

The drive home.... ahh the drive home.... picture gridlock in LA.

My "summer" resolution was to come home and leave it at work and what ever came home with me.... dump it right here.

I came home and made fried chicken and mash potatoes for my husband... and a hot wing type sauce. We went outside, he watered the tomatoes and pumpkins... I brushed my dog and mowed the grass.... as it got dark I put on the sprinklers and came inside. Here I am... I feel so much better.

I think I'll upload my recent pictures of the baby.
