After the meeting today I came home and my husband informed me that we had to take the cat to the vet. His allergies are acting up again. We took him in, but the Dr. was out. We had to go back at 3:00. So we brought out kitty home and went furniture shopping, had lunch and then took him back to the vet.

Oh.... the meeting... it was a total waste of time. They handed us a huge binder and said here you go... all the guidelines are there. Good luck. The meeting lasted a little under an hour. To my astonishment Custer and Nye were there. They work in another office at my site... all under the same boss. The boss did not inform us they would be there and nor did he tell them we were attending as well. Hmmmmm. We showed no fear. Karissa and I came in exchanged pleasantries and sat with them. Our boss came in fumbling and late. Not once did he acknowledge the fact he did not inform the other side about the people that were to be in attendance. Is it a set up? A battle royal? A game of chess? I should of become a politician ... it would of been easier and less messy compared to this.

Ok, today is "Date Day". My husband and I are off (sort of... meeting on Thur$day) for the rest of the week. We woke up and decided to go jogging. I got the rottie harnessed up and we were off. It was so much fun. The rottie did pretty good. She was frighted by a pedestrians cell phone ring tone (rap music) and a small Chiuahua that came running after us. We are going to go out for brunch and then to our favorite bookstore and coffee shop. After all of that we are going shopping. Later this month we are going to Pheonix or vegas and then to Mexico on a mini vacation at the end of the month. This is the "travel" month. We are going to relax, have fun, and drive. Brunch is a good 30 min freeway drive away.... but the food is great!

My boss wants me to attend a huge financial meeting with him on Thursday. There are new accounts up for grabs and we want our piece of the pie. Karissa is going too. This is great news. Projects that have been on the back burner may be ready to go. We just have to make sure the money is allotted and used correctly. Now there is were the task lies.

We went out to eat last night with M & M. We have so much fun with them. We did not make it home till 12:00am. They took us to their favorite restaurant. The food was great. I was so full. They are fun to hang with because we have a good time with or with out cocktails. They have a lot in common with us. The most important value they have in common with us is the love and respect they have for one another and their marriage. It was getting a little uneasy hanging with our other group of friends. The alcohol brought out the "wild" side in them and they tended to cross marital lines.... no thank you! I can understand off the cuff comments, however actions are to much. Not my idea of a classy time.

We have been out of town and now we are home.

What to do first? Laundry? Return Phone Calls? Play with our pets? Mix all of the tasks at once? Make phone calls/ Pet cats on lap. Do laundry, play with dogs.


It's wierd coming home to a house that no one has lived in. It looks dusty, unkempt and sullen. My family was coming over to water and take care of the cats and livestock.

We sent our Rottie over to our parents to be taken care of.

Over all great trip. Now back to work.
