It's almost Friday

M just called. He's working on his latest sculpture. It sounds beautiful. I can't wait to see it in it's final stage. We are going to head out to the university to check it out this Monday.

Today was hectic. Two departments lost it today. The management is losing control of their interns and other lower level workers. This is a bad reflection on the company as a whole. Myself and the the other department heads are tired of having to "talk" to the CEO about the problems with these other departments. It feels like school all over again.

I'm still sick...boo.

My husband is taking me to Mexico/San Diego the weekend after Valentines. I can't wait.

Right now my husband and I are both blogging. We both are putting images that remind us of our days. We reflected on our dinner conversation and picked our images based on what we experienced today. He said this image was perfect... "Don't people remember what proper protocol looks like?"

Cough, Cough, drip, drip

Went to work... went to the dentist...came home...

Went to work today. The CEO screwed up. Now I have to unravel it. I went home early yesterday, had an appointment today and left early... there is a meeting we may or may not be attending on Thursday and Friday. The CEO was in charge of this meeting, It had to do with DIVA. He dropped the ball. No RSVP's, no payment, no nothing. TO top it all off, he lied to me. I asked if our sister company was notified and and if they were going to attend. He told me they had no idea about this meeting. Someone higher up the food chain dropped the ball. However, I asked the personal assistants around the office that have ties and ...well... the other company is going. Paperwork was submitted on time by their CEO. Damn it!!! Now I have 24 hours to unravel this mess. Save his ass.... or save my project.... by default, both.

Dentist... no problem. Next appointment, July.

When I got home my husband had dinner cooking. Chicken tacos, rice and beans and a salsa fresca. It was YUMMY.

We went outside, my way to unwind. played with the rotties, raked the back yard, watered and then out of no where.... honk, honk, honk. A huge flock of geese flew over head. My largest rottie started barking the little one followed and there with the sun setting, the sky turning soft hue of red and pink, my husband and I stood. We watched the geese fly towards the mountains. It was almost like he and I were the only ones around. One moment were the world stopped for us.

I love being outside. I hate being sick. We had to come back in so I could rest. Tomorrow is another day.

sick in bed

I'm sick. I came home early because my ears started to close, my nose was runny and my temperature started to rise. Boo. I hate being sick. Must get better... must get better.

Lunch

I have been on a diet... yes a diet. I have totally changed my eating habits. It's paying off. I forgot my lunch today at home. This means I would have to buy a "fast" lunch...bad. Low and behold my knight in shining armor came by and dropped it off. When I opened my lunch at lunch time my interns just sighed. He packed a hot pink Camellia in my lunch bag. I love my husband.

Moving Forward?

Okay... parts of my work suck. Right now we are in negotiations over a contract. No one is moving. Moral is down. Some of us don't know if we are coming or going. We need this contract. I was reading about someone else's life... their family and ours mirror one another... for years and years. Well Michael finally has a publishing house that wants to buy his book. He's my age. That's it... they are going to get a house and become situated. *sigh* I want to be situated.
