Pomegranate blossom

Throw away rose bush

My husband found a discarded rose bush. It had been dug out and pruned heavily. He brought it home and be plopped it down into the earth. One year later, here is the reward of saving that old knot of roots. She was not ready to go yet.

Tick Tick Boom

My husband is playing the bass guitar in the living room. Yes, he picked up another instrument. He is very talented. I'm sitting here reflecting. Brain dump...

We were on lock down today. I heard a helicopter in the distance and thought to myself, hmmm... I should go to another office to be around people. Something is wrong, but I continued to work. Once more, I thought, hmmm I should go somewhere to be with people. By the time I gathered some work our security team announced a lock down. Too late, all alone in my office. The police were chasing two robbery suspects and advised our security to lock down the buildings. I happen to be alone in my office... a little scary. I sat on the floor, against the wall away from my door. Then we received another message. This is a lock down. Do not open your doors, do not leave the building, do not leave your offices. I heard running, muffled voices, outside. Then the "click" "click" of shot guns. I thought to myself those are real guns out there. I heard the walkie talkies, sirens, more clicking. The police cleared the area ...

I'll finish later...I just remembered, I needed to finish something else first.

Okay... It was a false alarm. The cops did a great job. There was no assailant on our premises. Thank goodness.

A time out

I came home today on a cloud, however that changed. I went to grab a bite to eat with my husband and grew very tired and quite. When we got home I went to lay down on the bed. He went to school and I went outside. I felt like I need to take some pictures. I felt worse. I thought to myself... this better not be a hint of "situational depression". As I took my walk I saw a white owl in the distance. I broke down.
I finished taking pictures and played with the dogs.
My mom called. I did not tell her.
So here I am. Sitting on the couch typing away.
What does it mean, not sure.
