Nice Water Feature

Today my brother called me.
Me: Hello?
He: It's your brother.
Me: Hellooo Brother!
He: I need you to come to mom's house, there's a situation.
Me: What kind of situation, What happened?
My Head: Did the house get broken into, is the chihuahua dead?
He: A pipe broke in (our little brothers) bathroom an flooded the top and bottom floors.
Me: What?!?
He: Come over, mom's on her way, you might need to be here to console her.
Me: I'm on my way.
I got to my mom and dads house. The front door was open and I walked in. I walked into the entertainment room and there was my mom and little brother standing watching all the water drip from the ceiling into pots of water. My mom was okay. When my brother called her she thought something had happened to him. This was nothing compared to that thought. She and I went to rent a machine that sucked the water up from the carpet, while my dad drove home from work. California Freeways. He did the sweetest thing, while my mom, brothers and husband moved the wet furniture out my dad picked up In-and -Out for everyone. We ate dinner and started the clean up while my dad fixed the pipe. Thank goodness for insurance.
I alone with the rental machine took up 10 gallons of water off the carpet.
More on this later. I have to go to bed... I'm going to have my hair cut, styled and colored tomorrow. Lucy is going with me. Wish me luck.
Reflections

I scrapbooked the photos from Rose's wedding. The wedding that started this whole blogging journey. She was married in December. I have scrapped everything from last October to July, however, I never got around to December. I finally did it. As I sat there listening to my IPod, I quietly cried to myself. Tears came down... even months later. I think it's shear disappointment, or maybe the loss of a family member, it still hurts, if I let it. Now that I'm done... and as I sit here, it is now a memory... lost in the pages of my head. It's funny... the strength of a picture.
Starting

I'm working on another painting. It's the first pattern, I'm going to blend the images into each other once I have the first layer down.
My aunt from Idaho was down. I don't care for her husband at all. My mother thinks my aunt has lost herself. She could not place it. I told her that my aunt was "Unrefined". She is going to remarry her husband in a few years. She wants a full blown wedding. It's going to be such a culture clash. Very Darcy/Bennetish... better yet Cosby/Married with Childrenish.

Watch your damn kids!! Blurry

These two kids were hitting the neighbors trucks with rocks. My husband scared them off. Hopefully they fell running down the other side of the hill and broke something... don't get me wrong, I love kids... just sometimes. This was not the time. Where the hell was their mom of dad? They did this twice. The first time I took pictures and the second my husband scared them away. I took these pictures about an acre away... 32x zoom.
