Okay, here I am. Watching Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship of the Ring, for the millionth time. She is asleep on the sofa and my husband is asleep in the bedroom. We went on a hike, to lunch and then to a lake. They are both passed out. It was a lot of fun. I have not seen her since the fourth of July. Overall our day was adventurous and exhausting at the same time.

Lost in a world of confusion

I am Joaquín, lost in a world of confusion,
caught up in the whirl of a gringo society, confused by the rules, scorned by attitudes, suppressed by manipulation, and destroyed by modern society.
My fathers have lost the economic battle and won the struggle of cultural survival.

Today

After the meeting today I came home and my husband informed me that we had to take the cat to the vet. His allergies are acting up again. We took him in, but the Dr. was out. We had to go back at 3:00. So we brought out kitty home and went furniture shopping, had lunch and then took him back to the vet.

Oh.... the meeting... it was a total waste of time. They handed us a huge binder and said here you go... all the guidelines are there. Good luck. The meeting lasted a little under an hour. To my astonishment Custer and Nye were there. They work in another office at my site... all under the same boss. The boss did not inform us they would be there and nor did he tell them we were attending as well. Hmmmmm. We showed no fear. Karissa and I came in exchanged pleasantries and sat with them. Our boss came in fumbling and late. Not once did he acknowledge the fact he did not inform the other side about the people that were to be in attendance. Is it a set up? A battle royal? A game of chess? I should of become a politician ... it would of been easier and less messy compared to this.

The Jog

Ok, today is "Date Day". My husband and I are off (sort of... meeting on Thur$day) for the rest of the week. We woke up and decided to go jogging. I got the rottie harnessed up and we were off. It was so much fun. The rottie did pretty good. She was frighted by a pedestrians cell phone ring tone (rap music) and a small Chiuahua that came running after us. We are going to go out for brunch and then to our favorite bookstore and coffee shop. After all of that we are going shopping. Later this month we are going to Pheonix or vegas and then to Mexico on a mini vacation at the end of the month. This is the "travel" month. We are going to relax, have fun, and drive. Brunch is a good 30 min freeway drive away.... but the food is great!
