The 4th of July

Took a quick time out to do a little photo shopping

I set everything up last night. For one it was nice a cool and two, I don't have to do it today, allowing me to blog a little.

Here is our menu for today

I decided to make a play by play post today. At least I'm going to try.

My family is coming over to out house for the 4th. We usually go to my parents for a block party, however the block party has lost it's charm. Since there are no small children in our family we decided to make a new tradition this year.

Schedule of events:

3:00 ish - Transformers the Movie

5:30 ish - Dinner (BBQ)

7:00 ish - Board games

Finished out the night watching all the illegal fireworks launched off by the surrounding neighborhoods.

We are going to the Grand Canyon. We leave next Tuesday and will be there two nights/three days. I'm so excited. I have been researching what we need for our hike.

We all got her gift certificates to Lowe's. She has her eye on a big ticket item that she can go out and buy now.

I made (graphic iron on) the shirt for my husband. He loves old vintage travel posters. I added some flowers to the background in order to add depth. We rebelled in the "Hawaiian Shirt" department.

Lets do a week wrap up

Saturday- Went to grandma's house to celebrate her 70th birthday. It was a Hawaiian themed party. Let us just say that we did not completely follow the rules. It was great. We made our own kabobs (fish, shrimp, chicken, beef, veggie)and had Ice Cream Cake.

Sunday- Had breakfast with my parents. It's nice to have those types of mornings.

Monday- Went shopping.... I'm on vacation!

Tuesday- Finished painting the trim in the living room. (went for a walk)

Wednesday- Went to my mothers to help out. (Jogged)

Thursday- Went to my mothers to help out. (Jogged)

Friday- Went out and about with my husband. (Jogged)

Saturday- Party/BBQ. We went over to the State's house for a party. All of our co-workers were there. It was great. I helped grill with Patty while the men watched the kids in the pool. It was so much fun.

Sunday - Forgot some things at the State's, we are going to have to go and pick them up. I want to go to Lytle Creek and garden today.

Monday - (TBA) I have to go into the office.
