Indigo Children

Here mom,

The Indigos are a wave of children born with unique spiritual and psychological characteristics. The wave began (depending on whom you believe) as early as the 60s or as late as the 90s, and has continued to the present. Children are classified as Indigo based on the following and other characteristics (taken from http://www.indigochild.com):

They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)

They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.

Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are."

They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).

They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.

They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought.

They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system).

They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them.

School is often extremely difficult for them socially.

They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").

They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

Many of the above characteristics are also symptoms of ADD and ADHD. This can be taken in two ways; Lee Carroll and Jan Tober suggest that ADD/ADHD children are wrongly diagnosed and are in fact Indigos who need special care, while Skepdic insists that so-called Indigo children just need drugs. It is worth noting that the vast majority of otherkin fit these characteristics to some extent or other. However, this does not mean that most Indigos are otherkin; only that most otherkin are Indigos.

DSL

All I want to do is renew my DSL. This is silly. I've been on hold since 7:46 am. I've been bounced from Goa to Armistra. Hey she just came on. She's nice. Lot's of small talk. About Thanksgiving, Shopping for Christmas etc. Her name was Kathy Beck from Northfork, Virginia. Wow, from Goa to Northfork. She stated that the site was down, however she hooked me up.

I jus got off the phone with my mom. She is still feeling under the weather. I need to go ever and brine the turkey.

Brine -1 1/2 cups, (flaked) Kosher salt, brown sugar 10 whole cloves 3 teaspoons, black peppercorns 1 1/2 gallons (6 quarts) apple juice or cider (non-alcoholic) the peel from one orange or one tangerine (colored part only - not white pith) optional: 3 teaspoons, dried thyme and/or 3 teaspoons, dried sage. YUMMMM.

I love to garden. This is a Mexican Bush Sage my husband propigated. The yard looks great. Pity, I'll miss it when we move. When we move. Hmmmm. When.

Some pictures to reflect my week Part 3

We moved Lucy to her dads. This took two weekends.

Update. Her mom is still in denial. UPDATE. Her ex (almost) husband... is expecting. Fertile bastard.

Friday, Karissa and I threw a baby shower for a co-worker/ friend. I've known her for 14 years(since high school) and she is still fun and easy going. Now she's going to have her second baby. We are a close bunch. It's nice to work with other strong, confident, yet lady-like women.
