today

I think I have to repaint the base boards in the hallway.

My off ramp. The rain came in fast. The best part was the smell of rain slowly rolling in around 2:00 this afternoon. Upside we as a whole survived a work day, my tia has not had a complications to the surgery to worsen the situation and I was brave today at work. The down side I saw my co-workers car get hit by another car on the way home. Not cool. Work was tense and I fear what will come in the morning weekly review meeting.

I drove up and saw this blooming in our garden. Out of season, unexpected, but very appreciated. A small ray of sunlight coming from mother earth. out of the cool ground, rather then the sky.

After seeing it, coming home safely and seeing my husband walk out on the porch... my life went from black and white to color.

enjoy the silence

Most of the days as I drive up my off ramp on my home I take a moment and take in the world. I might catch a leaf blowing in the breeze, a piece of ...

Phone rang. My mother called. My nina is going in on Monday for a 9 hour operation. She'll be in ICU for three days and in the hospital for three weeks. She is going to have a family meeting with my mother on Friday and another with my mother and uncle. *breath*

... leaf flowing through the wind. The sand on the the slope of the off ramp and the patterns that have combed through it with the wind. A moment of time where everything stops. Yet the world around me flutters on. I think at times I feel the safest here. I am surrounded by the valley. The valley I grew up in with my family. The valley I shop in, drive in, work in, and live in. The Valley I share with my husband. It's a moment in time.

Going Home

Luckily I have a great husband. He went out for Pizza and Beer and we had a fun little wind down feast.

We went to a wedding on Saturday. The bride and groom started out on a good note. The rain had stopped and the skies parted for the wedding and even held off till our drive home from the reception.

Monday - I had to take this picture... the way home from work.
