Extreme Make Over - Front Yard

My husband and I spent the last two days (12 hours total) working on our front yard. We planted $100 worth of plants, put together a metal arch, installed two railroad ties as garden boarders and moved a cement garden bench. I'm very pleased with the outcome. This has been a rewarding and exhausting experience.

This is the inspiration of our waterwise yard. We started in the back yard with a small kitchen garden and it has grown to multiple gardens in our back yard.

Front Yard

We are redoing our front yard to be a little more water efficient.

I took this photo of one of my sunflowers that are growing in the front yard.

We spent 4 hours clearing out the yard. We let the grass die and we are replacing it with beds of water efficient shrubs, flowers, and herbs. We will have grass in a smaller location.

Wish us luck.

Past 500

I hit the 500 mark. Last night before I signed off it was at 494. Out of curiosity I logged on this morning and the blog as been "hit" 503 times now.

I added a music video of the "moment" at the end of the blog. I wonder if that draws in people.

10:09 PM

I can't believe I'm still awake. During the work week I'm in bed by 10:00 pm. Now that I'm on vacation I don't sleep. Well, I do nap. My husband is "IPODing" and well here I am Blogging.
