Dingo, Australian Cattle Dog, AKA Queensland Heeler... Blue
He's 3 months old.

Zora, Queensland Heeler... Red.

12 Years old.

Our Orange tree is filled with blossoms. It smells so sweet.

Currently typing while sipping on coffee, while my husband tends to the fire in the Chimenea.

Life is beautiful.

Too excited, happy and overworked to make sense

Have you ever hear the saying, "I've been thrown under the bus"? Well I was. I will be under that tire in the morning.

But first.

We "rescued" a puppy today. A Queensland Heeler, blue Merle. My husband saw him at the animal shelter yesterday while checking up on a rottie we saw on their website. We wanted to see if it was ours. Well, he came across this little guy and fell in love. Zora, our 14 year old Queensland is "red" and has been a great dog. This little guy is exactly what this family needs. She misses the rotties too. We pick him up tomorrow. Microchip and all. I came home straight from work to get my husband so we could check him out. When we arrived another couple was playing with him in the "yard". My heart sank... this was the same little guy my husband told me about and that I looked at on the website. We walked around saw a great boxer and went in to inquire on him. I was put on the "list" and that couple came in with the dog. Boo. I went back out to find my husband and the Heeler was taken back to his cage. What, the couple did not take him!!! We went in to inquire on his status and they said the magic words, he's available. We played with him in the Yard, took him to the office and filled out the forms. The adoption planner was happy that we were adopting him and said she was about to call the "rescue" agency to come pick him up to see if they could place him. Now she did not have to.

Now the wheels on the bus...
.

Here I go... CEO plans training, all must go.

I must survey the staff on what we want the topics to be about. That's all...not present.

CEO double books an important meeting at out of town, will not be there atour meeting.

CEO puts off planing the meeting and contacting contractors to facilitate trainings.

I push CEO to hire one vendor.

He calls on a colleague to facilitate another (third part), then they back out... Wednesday.

I'm now facilitating two parts. The third part I have to put together tomorrow morning.

He even promised a Continental Breakfast.... which has yet to be purchased.

Meeting starts at 8:00 am.

...go round and round.

Ramble

I cleaned out my truck on Sunday. My husband went to an art opening at a museum with M, our artist friend. I was able to detail my truck. I cried. I took off the dog cover from the back seat, the doggy seat belt and wiped... I know this sounds gross, the drool smears off the windows. I know ... silly. I still cried. I miss them. Breath. Breath. God I want them back.

In other news. It was confirmed. Luap and I landed the 1.1 million dollar contract. Woot! Time to work. That contract took us 3 months to land the deal with three months of wait time to see if we were chosen.

A surprise dinner for my husband.
I got home and decided to celebrate our daylight savings with a B-B-Que dinner. I made kabobs and ribs. Yummy! We spent two hours eating and talking outside under our Orange tree. It was beautiful. A warm breeze swept through our backyard. The faint scent of orange blossoms perfumed the air around us. It was so nice to eat, talk and enjoy a quiet and simple dinner. No phone, no Internet, no interruptions. I wish life was this easy going.

out of focus

I took this picture 7 days ago. Beautiful, but out of focus. Like my life. Today I think I went through the final phase of being unhappy due to the loss of my dogs. I was able to say their names multiple times with out crying. I want to put my life back into focus. I have gained some of my lost weight back, fallen behind on house work, artwork and other chores and passions. I need to focus.

What to do.... what don't I do?

It's 5:30... I'm sitting on the couch and my husband is playing chords on his new bass. He decided to take up another instrument. It nice to know that we are able to afford all of these musical outlets, something he never had growing up. I'm more then happy to support this habit. He does not drink or do drugs, he plays... music. I love it. So, he looks up every once in a while and asks, "so what do you want to do tonight?". I just smile and say... um not sure. Then he plays more and I keep web surfing and typing here on my blog. It was a long day. In one sentence... Am I great, because I do everything ...very well or dumb... because I do everything? It was a long day.

He's singing now. Wow... playing and signing. Musical genius. He does have a gift.

My goals this weekend.
1. Finish one of my paintings
2. Scrapbook
3. Clean the house
4. Complete some work I brought home
5. Garden
6. get a puppy ... maybe. "I don't want one" just ran through me head. I miss our dogs.
